Update: Roads starting to reopen in Ark.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Flood waters continue to rise all over central Arkansas, closing several roads and highways due to rising waters.

Some roads that were previously closed are starting to reopen.

After several days of Highway 67/167 being closed due to high water levels, there is some good news to report. Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says Hwy 67-167 from Main St in Jacksonville to I-440 is open, but one southbound lane is still closed.


Roadways that are open:

  • Crittenden Co: Hwy 131 Section 3A at log mile 1.99 at Edmondson has been re-opened.

  • Randolph Co: Hwy 90 Section 7A at log mile 1.49 at Eleven Point River has been re-opened.

  • Lonoke Co: Hwy 31N in Lonoke has been re-opened.

  • Perry County: Hwy 300 Section 0A log mile 3.1 to 3.3 North of Harris Brake lake has been reopened.

  • Clark Co; Hwy 7 at the junction of Hwy 128 near Griffithtown has been reopened

  • Crawford Co: Hwy 282 log mile 3.1 near Rudy has been re-opened.

  • Lee Co: Hwy 121 Section 2 log mile 9.2 just east of the Hwy 261 and Hwy 121 intersection has been reopened.
  • Pulaski Co: Hwy 161 at Reed Bridge log mile 3.45 has reopened.
  • Pulaski Co: Hwy 107 log mile 11.5 back gate to the Airforce base in Jacksonville has been re-opened.

     

  • Sharp Co: Hwy 58 Section 3 log mile 19.4 South of the Spring River has been re-opened.
  • Garland Co: Hwy 70 at 8.5mm at Hot Springs has been re-opened.
  • White Co: Hwy 87 from log mile 0.00 to 2.00 at Higginson has been re-opened
  • Sharp Co: Hwy 58 Section 3E form log mile 0.3 - 0.9 near Williford has been re-opened.
  • Sharp Co: Hwy 175 Section 2A log mile 1.3 near Cherokee Village has been re-opened.
  • Sharp Co: Hwy 175 Section 2S log mile 0.0 near Cherokee Village has been re-opened.
  • Sharp Co: Hwy 342 Section 3 near Hardy has been re-opened

Roadways that are closed:

  • Randolph Co: Hwy 90 Section 5A from Hwy 67 to Okean is closed due to high water.
  • Prairie Co: Hwy 323 from log mile 0.40 - 0.41 in Des Arc is closed due to high water.
  • Prairie Co: I-40 WB at the 202mm closed due to high water. Traffic being re-routed off at the 216mm at Brinkley onto Hwy 49.
  • Craighead Co: Hwy 226 Section 2 Between Cash and Hwy 67 interchange is closed due to high water.
  • Mississippi Co: Hwy 119 Section 1A at log mile 0.0 to 4.27 near Rotan closed due to high water.
  • Crittenden Co: Hwy 42 Section 4A at log mile 2 near Three Forks is closed due to high water.
  • Phillips Co: Hwy 20 Section 1 at log mile 18 at Helena is closed due to high water.
  • Lee Co: Hwy 238 about 0.3 miles from Lee/Phillips County line west of Moro is closed due to high water.
  • Craighead Co: Hwy 91 Section 2A to the Lawrence Co line near Egypt is closed due to high water.
  • Craighead Co: Hwy 135 Section 3 from Hwy 18 to Dixie north of Lake City
  • Arkansas Co: Hwy 146 Section 1A West of Preston Ferry
  • Jackson Co: Hwy 42 Section 1 from log mile 0.0 to 5.11 Cross County Line
  • Hwy 228 Section 5 from Hwy 168 to US Hwy 63 Highway 1 south of Forrest City

  • Arkansas Co: Hwy 144 Section 0A from log mile 0.20 to 1.08 near Gillett closed due to high water.
  • Greene Co: Hwy 139 from Hwy 412 to Mounds closed due to high water.
  • St. Francis Co: Hwy 261 near Caldwell reopened
  • Craighead Co: Hwy 158 from the intersection of Hwy 139 to the Mississippi county line is closed due to high water.
  • Jackson Co: Hwy 18 from the 18 Spur at log mile 4.96 to Hwy 37 at Grubbs is closed due to high water
  • Lonoke County authorities ask drivers to stay away from Graham Road, Kerr Station Road, Highway 294 due to flooding.
  • Craighead Co: Hwy 158 from the intersection of Hwy 139 to the Mississippi county line is closed due to high water

  • Mississippi Co: Hwy 312 at Jct Hwy 18 near Dell closed due to high water

  • Fulton Co: Hwy 395 Section 1 north of Salem reopened.

  • Ouachita Co: Hwy 51 Section 2 log mile 0.38 north of Arkadelphia at Ouachita River bridge is closed due to high water

  • Lawrence Co: Hwy 117 at Hwy 115 at Jessup is closed due to high water.

  • Wildwood exit in Sherwood off I-67-167 under water.

  • Royal Oaks Mobile Home Park on Rixie Road in Sherwood being evacuated due to rising waters.

  • Overview/East view at James Street, Spring Valley Road, South James Street & Shenandoah

  • Hwy 300 & Country Creek Road: The section of the road that "sink-holed" Sunday and was repaired has washed out again.

  • Jim Hall Road is underwater

  • Ferncliff Road near the 4H Center: rockslide has blocked one lane of traffic

  • Clark Co: Hwy 128 Section 4A log mile 5.51 at Arkadelphia is closed due to high water.

  • Cross Co: Hwy 364 Section 1 at log mile 5.1 between Hwy 259 and Hwy 193 closed due to high water

  • Prairie Co: I-40 White River rest areas EB and WB closed due to sewer problems.

  • Craighead Co: Hwy 226 Section 2A to Hwy 18 at Cash is Closed due to high water.

  • Poinsett Co: Hwy 214 from Fisher to the first bridge log mile 3.14 is closed due to high water.

  • Jackson Co: Hwy 384 Section 3 from 1.09 to 9.15 at Newport closed due to high water
  • Monroe Co: Hwy 86 Section 3 east of Holly Grove closed due to high water

  • Lonoke Co: US 67 SB exit 16, the on ramp to Hwy 5, is closed due to high water

  • Prairie Co: Hwy 38 Section 1 from log mile 16.96 to 20.35 at Des Arc is closed due to high water

  • Lee Co: Hwy 259 North of Hwy 78 log mile 0.6 North of Moro is closed due to high water

  • Mississippi Co: Hwy 119 Section 0A log mile 0.0 to 11.54 near Marie is closed due to high water

  • Mississippi Co: Hwy 198 Section 10A from the Mississippi River Levee to the end of state maintenance is closed due to high water

  • Mississippi Co: Hwy 198 Section 10A from the Mississippi River Levee to the end of state maintenance is closed due to high water

  • Independence Co: Hwy 14 Section 9A between Hwy 157 Section 3A and Hwy 122 at Oil Trough closed due to high water

  • Pulaski Co.: Hwy. 31 exit off I-40 East closed due to flooding.

  • Correction Pulaski Co: Hwy 67 from Main St in Jville to I-440 remains closed.  Exit onto Hwy 5 (exit 16) has been re-opened

  • Update: Jackson Co: Hwy 18 Section 1 from log mile 2.4 to 4.2 at Newport is closed due to high water.

  • Lonoke Co: Hwy 89 North of I40 near Furlow is closed due to high water.

  • Crittenden Co: Hwy 184 Section 2A at log mile 2.9 closed due to high water.
  • Prairie Co: Hwy 38 at Jct Hwy 11 south of Searcy and North of Des Arc Section 11.91 closed due to high water.
  • Lonoke Co: Hwy 13 5 miles North of Carlisle is closed due to high water.
