Faulkner SPCA finds a buddy in BOGO

Faulkner SPCA finds a buddy in BOGO

Area dog owners can feed their dogs and SPCA dogs

The Faulkner County SPCA has found a new “friend” in its mission to help families care for their pets. The group has become a designated buddy with BOGO Bowl, a new brand of dog food with goal of helping shelters, rescues and pet pantries.

BOGO Bowl is healthy, high quality dog food that is not only a nutritious choice for at-home pets, but works to solve a serious problem. According to the Humane Society of the United States, animal shelters care for 6-8 million dogs and cats every year, of whom approximately 3-4 million are euthanized. Shelters and pet food pantries are in need of food and more efforts need to be taken to keep animals at home. That’s where BOGO Bowl comes in. BOGO stands for “buy one, give one”.

The privileged feline is Joey the Garden cat who is a staff member of KTHV, the CBS affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas. Joey has become a big TV celebrity in Arkansas and his fame is spreading nationally.
