Classes to resume at UCA's Burdick Hall | News
CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The University of Central Arkansas says classes will resume Monday in Burdick Hall, a week and a half after the building was evacuated when several students fell ill.
The university says Emtec Environmental Solutions Company conducted several air quality tests, which revealed that oxygen levels are at acceptable levels.
The school says it's installed carbon monoxide detectors and oxygen level meters on each floor of the building to monitor levels.
The Conway Fire Department and the Environmental Enterprise Group also tested air quality and found that oxygen levels were within normal ranges. UCA officials requested additional testing as a precautionary measure.
Health and science and liberal arts classes are held in the building - which also houses the university's information technology department.
