LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Here is a list of freebies available on Veterans Day to veterans and their families.


Applebee's invites vets and active duty military to come have a meal on them. Enjoy a free Applebee's signature entree on Nov. 11. Dine-in, limited menu only. Beverages and gratuity not included.

Proof of service includes US Uniformed Services ID Card, US Uniformed Services Retied ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e. American Legion, VFW), photograph yourself in uniform, wearing uniform, DD214 and citation or commendation.

Bar Louie

On Nov. 10 and 11, Bar Louie will offer Veterans and military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value with valid ID or proof of service.

Great Clips

Customers can come into any area Great Clips salon on Nov. 11 and, with the purchase of a service, receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran. The free haircut cards are redeemable by veterans at any Great Clips here in our area or throughout the U.S. from Nov. 11-Dec. 31, 2013 with proof of service. The promotion applies to veterans only.

Veterans who visit a Great Clips salon here or anywhere in the U.S. on Nov. 11 receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to redeem byDec. 31. After Nov. 11, veterans must have a free haircut card to get the free haircut.

Golden Corral:

Golden Corral is giving out a free thank you dinner to anyone who has served in the military. No ID is required. Dine in only.


Hooters invites all veterans and current servicemen and women to enjoy a free meal, up to $10.99 in value with any drink purchase, by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country.

Twin Peaks

In honor of Veterans Day, service men and women eat for free Nov. 11. Just have your military ID ready or wear your uniform.


In celebration of Veteran's Day, JCPenney is providing all current and former military personnel and family members of active duty, reserves, guard and retirees a 20 percent in-store discount from Nov. 6-11. The additional military discount may be applied on top of most original, regular, sale and clearance prices on apparel, home furnishings, shoes and accessories.

In addition to supporting Help A Hero, many Sport Clips locations will offer free haircuts to active-duty U.S. service members and veterans on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013, with valid proof of service.

Taco Bueno will be giving one free crispy beef or chicken taco to any U.S. veteran or active military serviceman or woman upon presentation of a military identification card or other proof of military service, at participating locations.

Texas Roadhouse Restaurants

Texas Roadhouse restaurants invite veterans and active members of U.S. military to enjoy FREE lunch on Monday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All veterans - including all active, retired or former U.S. military - can choose one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee during lunch. Proof of service includes military or VA card, or discharge papers.
