LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Pulaski County sheriff's deputies are reporting that they have located the body of missing real estate agent Beverly Carter, 49.

As of 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, 33-year-old Arron Lewis is officially charged with capital murder of Carter. He was initially booked on a kidnapping charge and a parole hold for the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

Lewis is also charged with robbery and four charges of possession of firearms by certain persons.

A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the sheriff's office to share more information. THV11 will be there.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The man wanted in connection with the disappearance of a central Arkansas realtor will be facing charges of murder.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said 33-year-old Arron Michael Lewis was taken into custody just after 10 a.m. Monday for the kidnapping of real estate agent Beverly Carter, 49. He was apprehended by the Little Rock Police Department Monday morning at Pleasant Pointe Apartments at 1602 Green Mountain Drive around 10 a.m.

The sheriff's office said Lewis was interrogated for 12 hours and eventually admitted to kidnapping Carter, but wouldn't say where she was.

He was booked just after midnight for kidnapping, and information gathered by investigators led to the location of Carter's body at the Pulaski/Lonoke County line.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Distracted driving is a big concern to a Central Arkansas Traffic Enforcement Group.

To reduce the number of fatal crashes, the Central Arkansas Group has been conducting a distracted driving mobilization that started on September 22 and ends on Tuesday.

They're using marked and unmarked cars to identify drivers guilty of distracted driving and will issue them a violation citation. Arkansas State Police says so far they've given out 11 citations.

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - If you happen to walk, jog or bike, you may need to watch out the next time you leave your car to work out. The Conway Police Department continues to get reports of car break-ins in parking lots near the Tucker Creek Trail.

Two break-ins happened days apart, and the thieves took cash and debit cards and a gun that was left behind in one of the cars. Police told THV it is where the keys were that made these break-ins a piece of cake for criminals.

Once Deidra Maltbia locks her car, she wishes she could forget about it, but because of recent car break-ins in the parking lots near the Tucker Creek Trail, she cannot.

"I do not leave anything in my car," said Maltbia. "I do not trust anybody."

She also takes her keys with her. Other runners now holding on tight too.

FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – According to officials, a man was arrested after he fired gunshots at U.S. Marshals while they were working to apprehend another individual.

A press release sent to THV11 by the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office details that while U.S. Marshals were in the area of the 200 block of Stanley Road in Vilonia on Friday night working to apprehend fugitive Jesse Herring, someone from a nearby home fired shots at them.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- As confirmed by Officer Shay Cobbs of the North Little Rock Police Department, Jesse Herring was arrested early Sunday morning sometime overnight. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office website, Herring was booked at 2:05 a.m. in North Little Rock.

Officer Cobbs stated that police received a tip that he was at a vacant house located at the 4000 block of Pike Ave. in North Little Rock. Cobbs stated that when officers arrived on the scene, Herring jumped from a window and fled on foot.

He was then captured without incident and taken to the Pulaski County Jail.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The body of a missing Conway man was found buried in a shallow grave in Damascus.

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office said in a press release Monday that they and the Conway Police Department discovered a body in a shallow grave on Sept. 6.

The discovery was the end result of a missing persons case out of Conway of Daniel R. Horton, 28. He had been reported missing on June 30, 2014. Investigators had been following leads and were able to get a search warrant for the property of Gary Lee Mallet on Slately Gap Road in Damascus.
