CONWAY, Ark. (UCA) - The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees and President Tom Courtway will host a Plaque Dedication for Laney-Manion Hall at 2 p.m. Friday, August 21 in Room 102 of Laney-Manion Hall.

The Board of Trustees approved the renaming of Laney Hall to Laney-Manion Hall in December 2014 to honor the late Dr. Jerald “Jerry” M. Manion.

At the time of his death in July 2014, Manion was the longest serving professor in the history of UCA. Manion spent 49 years at UCA working in the Department of Chemistry as a professor, chair, mentor, friend, and ambassador for the department.
