The University of Central Arkansas Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Sunday, January 30 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South.

Athletic Administrator Natalie Shock says she has high hopes for the benefit.

"Last year, when we were benefiting Haiti, we raised over $5,000, so this year, we're hoping to top that," she says.

The funds raised from the breakfast, which will be held at Stoby's Restaurant, will grant the wish of a Central Arkansas boy.

"We're planning on taking him to a UCA Bears basketball game and honoring his wish during a half-time presentation," Shock says.

Tickets for the breakfast are $5 and may be purchased from any student athlete. They are also available on the day of the event at Stoby's, 805 Donaghey Ave.

The Mid-South chapter of Make-a-Wish Foundation has been granting the wishes of students with life-threatening medical conditions since 1986.
